Level Two

CLASSICAL ARABIC (QUR`AN) READING AND WRITING: LEVEL ONE
(Ages 3-6 & 7-11)

All vowel sounds and signs used to read the Arabic language; short and long vowels will be taught, with examples. All words taught are accompanied by their respective meaning in the English language, to assist students by laying the foundation for future learning of the Classical Arabic language. Finally, students will begin to read short Arabic words as practical application of what they have learnt. The course will conclude with the gradual reading of classical phrases of moderate and intermediate levels.

COURSE OVERVIEW:


Stage One: Review: students will review materials taught in Level One.

Stage Two: Vowels: The three cardinal short vowels will be introduced. Students will learn the significance of each vowel and its application. As well, the long vowels and other symbols will be taught, with applicable examples of each.


Stage Three: Reading: By now, the students are well equipped and ready to put the knowledge the acquired pertaining to the forms of the letters and the various vowels and read words and short phrases.


Study Time Required: Minimum of one hour of quality practice per day.

fifteen students will be enrolled into each class to ensure more one-on-one attention for the students to attain maximum potential.

It should be noted that children develop mentally at variant levels, therefore in cases where a young child is still developing their learning skills, they may be required to take this level twice before they are able to progress to the second level. This will also be the case in children who do not put in the minimum practice time of one hour daily.
